To take into account:

• The organization is in charge of printing the photographs.
• Once the images arrive, the poets will select the photographs, without knowing the names of the participating people.
• Both previous editions were exhibited in different places in Spain.

Poetry at a glance – Poetry of impact is a cultural initiative promoted by the Ponts Culturals collective and the Pati Llimona Civic Center, a benchmark in amateur photography in Barcelona. The proposal, born in 2024, brings together two arts, photography and poetry.

The project has materialized in multiple formats: physical exhibitions of photographs and poems, live recitals, projections of images, audios with the poems recited by the authors themselves, as well as gatherings and meetings around photography and poetry.

After its excellent reception, Poesia a cop d’ull has become part of the official program of the Barcelona Poetry Festival, consolidating itself as an innovative proposal within the current cultural panorama. He has taken his recitals and exhibitions to cities such as Barcelona, ​​Huesca, Zaragoza and Oviedo, with activities in key cultural spaces such as the Ateneo Barcelonès or the Vila Magdalena Cultural Center in Oviedo. For August and September 2026, its second edition will be exhibited in the Vila Magdalena Cultural Center and the Francisco d’Ayala Library in Oviedo as a promotion of this city as European Capital of Culture.

Since 2024, there have been two editions in which the amateur photographers Maite Jou Turallas and Francesc J. Garcia Rabella have participated, as well as a wide variety of poets. In the first edition (2024-2025): Anna Aguilar-Amat, Ágatha Ben Gregory, Sandra Blanch, Blanca Estela Domínguez, Pedro Enríquez, Silvia López Ripoll, Joan Mauri Candelich, Jaime D. Parra, Tònia Passola, José Luis Ruiz Castillo, Joan Vinuesa and Baliu. And in the second edition (2025-2026): Pedro Alcarria, Carla Fajardo, Susanna G. Turigas, M. Antònia Massanet, Montse Ordóñez, Carles Ribó, Amàlia Sanchís, Josep Anton Soldevila, Xavier Solé Ribas and Gustavo Vega.

The Ponts Culturals collective, made up of José Luis Ruiz Castillo, Silvia López Ripoll, Maite Jou Turallas and Francesc J. Garcia Rabella, promotes this project alongside Felipe Garibello, coordinator of the Photographic Space at the Pati Llimona Civic Center in Barcelona.

Poetry at a glance-Poesia d’impact, moves towards its third edition, which will be inaugurated in September 2026. This edition will have new photographers and new poets, expanding the range of voices and views that give shape to the project. In this third edition, the inclusion of international Spanish poets is planned, reinforcing the cross-border and plural dimension of the proposal.

The will to innovate remains one of the hallmarks of the project: each edition experiments with new expository and performative formats, from hybrid recitals to visual installations that expand the relationship between image and word.
