Pedralbes Monastery nativity scene

This year’s exhibition focuses on the presentation of two dioramas from the life of Jesus, ‘The Nativity’ and ‘The Adoration of the Magi’, illustrated with figures by the sculptor Andreu Muns and the Castells brothers. The arrival of Christmas is synonymous with nativity in our culture. In Catalonia, making the nativity scene has a long historical tradition: numerous associations of nativity scene makers, including the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona, contribute, year after year, to the continuity and preservation of this cultural and festive tradition. The Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes, faithful to the Christmas celebration, organizes its nativity scene with the collaboration of the Barcelona Nativity Scene Association. You can consult more information about the “Pessebre del Monestir de Pedralbes” exhibition on the website of the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes. Last update: 12/18/2025
