
Open Day Sant Jordi 2025 in the Library of Catalonia / Activities / visit us / Start
Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Sant Jordi Day, the Library of Catalonia celebrates an open day between 10 and 7.30pm. Access to the public will be until 7pm.
The schedule of guided tours for groups is from 10 a.m. to 13.30 pm from 16 to 18:50 h. The visits will be in Catalan and will be at intervals of about 15 minutes. There will also be two visits in Spanish (13.30 and 17.30 h) and two in English (12.30 and 16.20 h). Also, whoever wants it will have the option of following the itinerary signposted by free.
During the tour of the historic building, exhibitions that exemplify the rich and various collections of the Library of Catalonia, a heritage that constitutes the testimony of the literary, artistic and cultural creation of Catalonia over the years, will be available.
In the exhibition hall, on the street, you can visit “between time and spaces. Magazine of Catalonia 1924 – 2024 “. The exhibition, which is a collaboration between the Library and the Revista de Catalunya Foundation, reviews the history of this centuries -old publication from its origins to the present day.
And in the Zero Space, in the lobby of the BC, there is the exhibition “Montserrat 1,000 years: Contributions to Catalan culture”, curated by the Library of Montserrat and the Ramon Llull University.
