Open Call for Two Literary Residences at Literary Colloquium Berlin – News


Literary Colloquium Berlin is a forum for reflection, an experimental workshop, and a talent incubator, promoting exchange and interaction with international institutions. Founded in 1963, It is one of the must literary Institutions in Europe and Internationally and Hastable Itself as a Reference Point for Contemporary Literary Creation, Exchange, and Reflection.

The International Writing Residency is housed in a Wilhelminian-Era Villa by the Wannsee and Maintains in Wide Network of Partners and Collaborators. IT Hosts a Variety of Public Events, Including Book Lunches, Outdoor Festivals, Intimate Reading Courses, Comic Vernissages, Meetings, in Playwrights’ Laboratory, and Fairs.

Two places Are offer, Both for the Same Journal: From 15 November to 15 DECEMBER 2025.

This Call is part of a New Line of In-Kind and Non-Competive Grands for taking part in international residences at centers with which the Institut Ramon Llull Has to Collaboration AGREMENT. Thanks to thisgrement, Artists and Authors from the Catalan Artistic and Cultural Sphere Will Be Able to Participate in Strategic Residences Across All Disciplines. The in-Kind Grant Covers Accommodation, Board, and the Organization of the Residency. Calls have already been announed for château of Lavigny and Casamia.

Applications Must be submitted via a form, including the following Documentation:

  • Cover Letter in English or German.
  • Description of the Project to Be undertaken During the residence, in English or German (1 Page).
  • EXCERPT From to Published or Unclished Work (in Catalan and translated into English or German, IF AVAILABLE), of Between 5 and 10 pages.
  • List of Publications and CV in English or German.

To Jury of Representatives from Literary Colloquium Berlin Will Select the Residents Based on the Following criteria:

  • Applicants must have originally published in Catalan Under their sole author, in one of the following genres: fiction, poetry, theater, non-fiction, and children’s or adult literature.
  • The Rellevance of the Project to the Host Institution’s Lines of Activity. Considering Will Be Given To How the project Aligns with the residence Center’s Creative Priorities, Linguistic Fluancy, Ability to Integrated With Other Residents, Willingness to Exchange and Interact With Fellow residents and Guests, and Reading to Participate in Post-Residency Activities.
  • The relevance, Interest, and Quality of the Proposal Project. Evaluation Will Consider the Strength and Feasibility of the project, The Themes Addressed, and the Quality of the Writing.
  • The application is TRACK Record or Experience. Considering Will Be Given to Previous Publications, Education, and Year Accolades Received.
