Catalan literature will have its own room one more year in the framework of Eñe Festival 2025the great event of contemporary literary and artistic creation in Spain, with the Window to Catalan literaturea program of its own that will take place during the day November 14 and 15 in the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.
Curated by the writer and journalist Antonio Iturbethe Catalan Window will bring together six Catalan creators in three acts that reflect on the relationship between literature, nature and the rural world. They will participate in the sessions Xavier Pla, Eva Baltasar, Jordi Puntí, Vanesa Freixa y Blanca Llum Vidalamong other guests, in dialogue with authors from other territories like Julio Llamazares.
Catalan participation aims to make literary creation in the Catalan language visible, foster cultural and linguistic dialogue and bring new voices to the Spanish and international public. The proposal contributes to reinforcing the presence of Catalan in a context of plurality and coexistence of languages, and is part of the festival’s commitment to give space to Catalan, Galician and Basque literature.
La Ventana catalana consists of three conversations with the participation of Catalan authors:
- Friday November 14, 8:15 p.m: Can you escape the mundane noise?
Eva Baltasar y Jordi Puntí they will reflect on the return to the rural world and its contemporary myths, together with the Colombian writer Pilar Quintana. - Friday November 14, 9:15 p.m: Connoisseurs of the art of strolling –
cone Xavier Pla y Julio Llamazaresa literary tour for the pleasure of the walk and the contemplation of the landscape. - Saturday November 15, 6:45 p.m: Can you remove doors in the field?
cone Vanessa Freixa y Blanca Llum Vidala conversation between rural activism and poetry rooted in the territory.
Commitment to cultural diversity
With this initiative, the Eñe Festival and the Ramon Llull Institute reinforce their commitment to linguistic diversity, bibliodiversity and equal access to reading, promoting meeting spaces between creators and diverse audiences.
The presence of Llull will also include its visual identity in the communication and dissemination materials of the festival, as well as in its digital platforms and printed materials.
