Nau Ivanow strengthens its international bonds

From Nau Ivanow we believe in the Importance of networking and being connected to the world and the live arts sector. We are committed to a ship that creates bridges and connections to learn, share and generate; It is a pleasure for us to network and we strongly believe that by adding efforts we can grow and promote creative projects to become solid, as well as exchange ways of doing cultural management and influence cultural policies.

With this look, in recent months we have continued to strengthen and feed our links internationally.

We reactivate the Ibero -America Residence Centers Platform

The nave has crossed the ocean again to travel to Santiago de Chile and continue to consolidate the bridges that connect us with Latin America, through various meetings with local and international agents.

The first stop of our trip was the meeting and reactivation of the Ibero -America Residence Centers Platform, which we promote from Nau Ivanow, together with Parisina (Argentina). For three days we met with twelve residence centers from six different countries, in order to exchange thoughts, practices, reflections and management methodologies in relation to artistic residences.

Taking advantage of our stay in Santiago, we participated in Mic Chile 2025 – Mercado de Industrias Cultural and Creativas de Chilea meeting place for agents from the cultural and creative industries, both Chilean and international. During those days, we were able to meet with multiple livestock professionals and also conducted a workshop on artistic residences, by @Granerbcn and @laparisina.cba. The workshop, “Residences as a method and expansion”, addressed the residence model as a method of enriching artistic training and practice, generating key connections that strengthen their value chain and expand the opportunities for collaboration and circulation of works.

We return with Chile with the suitcase full of learning and new projects that we can soon explain.

We attend the FITEI – International Iberian Expression Theater Festival

Between 14 and 25 May 2025 the Phyti – International Iberian Expression Theater Festival into Port (Portugal), where we have had the opportunity to attend for the second consecutive year.

During our stay in Porto, we had the opportunity to continue to know the Portuguese artistic context, as well as spaces of residence and agents in the live arts sector, and build the foundations for a future Collaboration agreement between the Festival and the Nau.

These experiences reaffirm Portugal as an interesting country for weaving synergies and build new internationalization and cross -residence projects.

We will be able to give you more news soon.

We travel to Berlin to attend the annual meeting of IETM members

Last week we traveled to Berlin to attend the annual meeting, called Plenary Meeting, of theIETM – International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts, The International Network of Contemporary Performing Arts that we have been members of since 2019.

This meeting has been an opportunity to connect with agents from around the world, to coincide with those entities and artists linked to our internationalization projects and reflect on topics such as sustainability, the practices that can be carried out to change hegemonic work models and the situation of emerging artists.

In addition, for 3 years and until this Saturday, Aina Juanet, a producer of La Nau, has been part of the Advisory Committee, a group of volunteers who bring their professional perspective on the development of the network and who aims to connect LIS members with the projects it develops and also with the Board and the team of workers. This year’s assembly closed the cycle for the Advisory, to give way to other professionals in the sector.

We return happy with all these experiences, which allow us to continue projecting the ship internationally and generating new bridges with other spaces of creation.
