
Mediation: A new bridge of the International Ivanow Nau project
This October, part of the Nau Ivanow team has traveled to Chile and Colombia. This year we have been invited to Participate in meetings and seminars in the live arts sectorwhere we have also been able to discover new spaces and continue to strengthen international bonds.
The first stop was Infinito cielosthe most southern arts festival in the world, in Punta Arenas. There we had the opportunity to get a closer look at the project’s dynamics and philosophy, we also saw the advances of the Residence Center with which we will start soon collaborations of cross residences and Exchange of thought in Cultural Management. We also shared thoughts with artists from the region in the Project management seminar.
As a project associated with the ship, we accompanied the Andrea Pazan artist we support along with Cielos del Infinito, Tchawun Espacio and Tàrrega Fair in the investigation of his next piece Plant. The Projects associated with La Nau, are those that we support in collaboration with other institutions, festival or international centers.
The second stop was La Serena. There we participated in the Conversatory on Residencias y Artes Vivas, organized by Theaterwhere we could share the ship’s project and discuss the need for Dignify research and the importance of the International Exchanges For the growth of projects.
We also participated in the Seminar Artistic Experiences in educational contexts organized by the University of the Serena and coordinated by Mauricio Ortizwhere we could explain our educational project Scene at stake and inspire us to listen to other experiences that are being carried out in the region.
Finally, we visited the Cultural Center Palace of coquimbo And we had a meeting with the whole team to share management models.
During this trip we also took the opportunity to make prospecting at Chiloéa very special area of Chile where we have had the opportunity to meet three incredible projects to continue to build bridges: Cecrea Castroa creative center for childhood and adolescence with a team that is constantly reflecting on the autonomy, creativity and critical sense of childhood, working through the arts. BodyResidence Platform and Accompanying Artists who are strongly committed to research and internationalization, and a few months ago made a technical residence on the ship, in which we saw that we share a work philosophy. Caneproject that encompasses the Residence Center Breed Chiloé and the Fitich Festival With focus on rurality and accessibility to the arts in one of the most inaccessible areas of Chile.
From Chile we made the jump to Colombiawhere we made a first stop at Medellin, To get to know the new residence space The float ruin. This center aims to be a space where artists with disabilities, indigenous and sex-decisive can develop their projects in decent conditions. This team has been struggling for many years to dignify the work of these people and position themselves as a totally inclusive space. Your job is really inspiring. During the festival, we have seen various proposals, sharing knowledge in a workshop on management to think about how to shape this new center and continue to talk about artistic residences and the importance of dignifying research.
We also met other projects such as l ‘Ateneo Medellín and the Cultural Center La Barquereña Culture House.
Finally, we traveled to Jogotá In the frame of the Networkintoan Ibero -American platform for the training, mentoring and circulation of knowledge in living arts, involving 3 countries in Latin America represented by public and private entities and 3 autonomous communities in Spain (Andalusia, Valencia and Catalonia). There we were received by Sara Luengas, head of mediation from the National Center of the Arts of Delia Zapata Olive To get to know your project and visit the new facilities. We also attended the International Arts Biennial for Infancia organized by Create Idartes.
This has been an inspirational journey, full of learning, where we have generated new bonds and others that are strengthened to continue to weave a network that supports and strengthens the ship’s project and our companies.
