“Els tangos de Sagarra” is a show woven from women’s monologues from plays written in verse by Josep Maria de Sagarra. Based on ten monologues of this dramatic poem, fragments of his biography, the history of Catalan theatre, the knowledge of master Francesc Nel·lo and the experience of the actress Teresa Cunillé (one of the emblematic actresses of Catalan theater, and that this year 2024 will be one hundred years old), “Els tangos de Sagarra” builds a poetic show, a recital, which takes a tour through the work of the playwright and poet, through the professional life of Cunillé and through the life of Catalan women from the 19th century to the present day.
