International Women’s Film Festival of Barcelona (MIFDB)

The International Film Festival of Women of Barcelona (MIFDB) is a dissident, feminist and passionate film proposal that contributes to the recovery, expansion and reorganization of the multiple cinema stories made by women. The first part of the festival is the volume I: in the company of strangers: collective reviews of past, present and future. The films that shape the 33rd International Women’s Film Festival of Barcelona (MIFDB) defend cinema as a language from which to explain the world beyond the abyss. This year’s programming proposes stories of the past, present and future that escape from all narrative pact and challenge the narrowness of the patriarchal imagination. 07/05/2025
