Guerrilla Drugstore comes to the Mobile Garden and, in league with Metzineres, activates another point for its pharmacy in the heart of El Raval: Radical Affinitiesinstead of cultivating alliances and conspiring to care.
Guerrilla Drugstore is a trans-disciplinary, anti-disciplinary street gesture for people to sow utopia and harvest reality. A street pharmacy of medicinal plants that have been oppressedcapitalised, forgotten and made invisible, and which are springing up from Barcelona outwards, through a self-run network of beings – humans and plants – and care.
A living laboratory where care is no longer a chore but a way of connecting; a place where learning to sustain ourselves also means learning to listen, touch and let ourselves be affected by other beings and by the land we live on. The proposal takes the form of a set of workshops that explore the powers of plants and the ecologies of care, interweaving cultivation, botany and artistic practices as forms of situated knowledge. We approach plants through participatory ethnobotany: a gesture of epistemic disobedience that embraces ancestral, community and sensitive knowledge as well as academic frameworks. We choose our companion plants in dialogue with our vulnerabilities, recognizing the garden as a living mirror: caring for the earth as a practice of collective agropuncture and inner transformation.
Moved by the desire for affinity and relations with the plant world, we enter its alchemical dimension. There, we experiment with its subtle, radical powers by creating solarized water and mother tinctures: practices to interweave solar energy, therapeutic principles and psychophysical states, revealing other forms of healing and knowledge to regenerate and transform us.
