exhibition "Woman, photography, prison"

The exhibition is part of the “Transpassing the goal” photography project, organized by the Setba Foundation in various modules for women in prisons in Catalonia. The project started in 2020 following the lack of cultural offerings in women’s prisons, which are the most neglected in the system, since they only represent 6% of the prison population. The project is directed by the artist Marta Fàbregas and the professional photographers Laia Abril, Sandra Balsells, Lurdes Basolí, Laura Gálvez-Rhein, Tanit Plana, Iolanda Sebé and Fàbregas herself participate as mentors. The aim of the project is to empower them, improve their self-esteem and sensitize the population.
