Exhibition “The Flooded Forest” | Gencat Cultural Agenda

The Flooded Forest it represents a fragment of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, a rich and fragile ecosystem that contains real environmental and scientific treasures. Upon entering, one can find collections of insects and seeds from this area, and a range of illustrations, manuscripts and multimedia resources that provide clues to understanding the most important of this complex and amazing ecosystem.

Leafy, warm and very populated: in this little piece of jungle, there live a hundred species, including plants, invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Inside you can observe the leaf-cutter ants, the lone bird chirping and you can watch the capybara and alligator swim among the vegetation, in an environment where every fifteen minutes a tropical rain falls.
