Exhibition “The Curves of the Mind”

The exhibition The Curves of the Mindfrom the photographer Núria López Torrescurated by Carol Rojo Rubio and coordinated by the Photographic Social Vision Foundationplaces mental health at the center of the public debate. The project analyzes social vulnerability to the emotional and structural challenges that affect individuals, families, institutions and governments.

The work is organized in three interconnected blocks. The first examines the current state of mental healthshowing cases of people with diverse profiles and the role played by families, institutional resources and private services. The second blog focuses on children, adolescents and young peopleaddressing the phenomenon of “screenplay” and the impact of new technologies on physical, emotional and mental well-being, as well as the consequences this has on family dynamics.

The third blog deals with the problem of suicidepresenting it as the desperate response to psychological suffering that often does not find adequate support. In Spain, 11 people die by suicide every dayleaving a deep impact on the immediate environment, marked by guilt, shame and silence, which make a healthy grieving process difficult.
