Exhibition “Sculpture and power” | Gencat Cultural Agenda

The title of the exhibition refers to the three lines of research that have articulated the work of Marc Larré in recent years. The first is the disconnection of the sculptural object from its historical connections with power. The second line is a critique of the privileges of visuality in the West and how this has left out and subordinated other ways of doing and being. The third is the connection of art with the possibility or not of having an authentic experience. The works that we will see in the exhibition continue to delve into this search, just as the series of five pieces that won the Antoni Vila Casas d’Escultura Award 2024.
