On taking office for the second time, in September 1919, the second president of the Commonwealth of Catalonia, Josep Puig i Cadafalch, placed as one of the objectives of his political program for the government of the institution that of “Knowing and being known!”, all referring to the political action of the new autonomous government in the international sphere. The exhibition aims to rescue a rather unknown field of research: the origins of the first diplomacy of autonomous Catalonia in contemporary times, inseparable from the international scope of the activity of its promoter, Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
