Next Thursday, May 15, at 8.30 pm, Ernest Martínez i Bruch will offer a guitar concert in the Llevant Room of the Library of Catalonia.

The program includes works by Ferran Sor, Johann Sebastian Bach, Frédéric Chopin, Miquel Llobet, Enric Granados, Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz, among other composers.

Ernest Martínez i Bruch (Vic, 1996) has been awarded in various international competitions, such as the first prize in the specialty of guitar and the global category in the Isaac Albéniz competition. It has been offering solo recitals since 2010, an activity that combines with the accompaniment of lyrical singers on stages such as the Auditorium of the University of Barcelona, ​​the Modernist Center of Sant Pau or the Auditorium. He has also been part of the Cambra Música Lira Orfo-Miquel Llobet Music.

Has participated in the CD Barcelona School 12×6a project where several recognized guitarists interpret the versions of Fernando Alonso for guitar in homage to his figure.

He is currently playing a historic Barcelona guitar, built by Jaume Ribot at the beginning of the 20th century.
