[Enfocats 2026] RESISTANT – REPORTS OF MEMORY AND IDENTITY. In charge of the students of the Proximity Documentary Reportage course of the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia

From May 7 to June 27, 2026

For some people, existing is already an act of resistance. People who often live on the outskirts of our society, in dimly lit corners of our neighborhoods and towns.

The stigma of HIV, the loneliness with which our grandmothers live, the slow death of jobs that are a way of life or the struggle to keep a home alive in the face of urban voraciousness are some of the themes explored by the ten photographers participating in the Proximity Documentary Reportage course of the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya, who present a collective exhibition that explores the concept of neighborhood living memory, neighborhood and resistance.

These reports document realities that exist in the photographers’ closest environment, but that we often don’t see. Little big stories of people who keep our neighborhoods alive with their daily struggle.
