Display "The romería of the cornudos"
The Romería de los Cornudos was the prelude to Yerma, a fundamental piece of the author in which fertility is, without a doubt, the central theme, a theme that is even reflected in the landscape. In this case, the stage is the Doñana National Park, as well as the tourist, industrial and agricultural areas that surround it. In short, this project is an update of the story that focuses on the uses of the territory, as well as the productive and reproductive dynamics of the agents who travel there. If Lorca is the poet of water, here, the dew, the marsh, the river and the sea will serve as axes to address the socio -economic, environmental and spiritual problems that the characters face in relation to the ecosystem in which they are registered. The overexploitation of natural resources is mixed with labor exploitation, passage rites, religious worship and, above all, the construction of production forms directly linked to violence and extractivism at all levels.
