Next Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the Library of Catalonia will host a day and a tribute concert to the soprano and pianist Conxita Badia.
Conference “The voice of Conxita Badia”
The day “La Veu de Conxita Badia” will take place on Wednesday, April 9 from 5 to 7 pm, in the Charity Room of the Library of Catalonia. Patricia Caicedo, director of the Barcelona Festival of Song; Alicia Torra de la Rocha, director of the Alicia de la Rocha association in Barcelona; Margarida Ullate i Estanyol, director of the Sonors and Audiovisual Unit of the Library of Catalonia, and Carolina Estrada, director of the project “Conxita Badia, a voice for Catalan culture” and professor at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the International University of Catalonia.
Admission is free with prior registration.

Tribute Concert to Conxita Badia
The tribute concert to Conxita Badia will take place on Wednesday, April 9 at 8.30 pm in the Llevant Room of the Library of Catalonia. It will be given by the soprano Katerina Treyakova, the mezzo -soprano Cristina Segura and the tenor Roger Padullés, and the pianist Carolina Estrada, who will perform emblematic works linked to the figure of Conxita Badia, and will offer an emotional and musical journey to pay tribute to his artistic career.
The Library of Catalonia guards the most important documentary collection of Conxita Badia. In addition, in the concert you will be able to hear the sound of the original piano Pleyel by Enric Granados, a historical instrument of 1911, which connects with the sound of the artist’s time.
