
Coòpolis Conferences: experiences of inter-cooperation – Coòpolis
 
On October 22, 23 and 24, the Coòpolis sectoral and territorial networking dayswhere the Ateneo entities were able to share experiences and challenges with Olatukoop and the Pol Cooperative Tanda. This meeting has also served to share methodologies and identify points of collaboration between Social and Solidarity Economy projects.
The first day, organized in two plenary sessions, has served for get to know better the trajectories of each of the initiatives and to open spaces for debate on the current challenges of cooperatives. While the first part of the day served to get to know the interlocutors, their trajectories and their challenges, the second part of the meeting focused on the tools and methodologies that each entity uses to accompany cooperative projects and promote mutual cooperation.


from Tandait has been explained that they do not yet offer external support, but they do promote internal processes of mutual support between cooperatives, with working groups focused on areas such as territoriality, culture or cooperativism. They have also produced a study on the state of inter-cooperation in the Valencian Country, which serves as a strategic document for their future actions. In the field of broadcasting, they have produced the series documentary We are Coop on Valencian cooperativeism.
As for Olatukoopthe network has shared the project KoopFabrikaa training and support device for cooperative projects that includes personalized itineraries and practical guides. They also develop initiatives to support migrants and work actively in inter-cooperation with the territory, promoting solidarity between local projects and the generational relief in rural areas and on the verge of depopulation. Among other actions, they have translated training and methodological materials to make them accessible to more people and entities.


From Coòpolis has presented the Strategic Framework 2024-2027which establishes the lines of work for the coming years. The work of the research and observatory area, responsible for generating knowledge, monitoring projects and evaluating their impact through annual reports, has also been highlighted.
Towards a wider cooperation network rooted in the territory
The meeting has highlighted the shared will of to generate spaces for collaboration between territories and to strengthen the cooperative fabric on a local and national scale. Both Coòpolis, Olatukoop and Tanda agree on the importance of sharing tools, knowledge and methodologies to promote a transformative, feminist and sustainable social economy.

The last plenary of the meeting served for draw conclusions from the sectoral tables and thus be able to mark a road map and commitments. In this space, we also wanted to assess the measure of strength and capacity to act, with the aim of not overloading or generating unrealistic expectations. The next steps call for landing all the conclusions drawn by each territory, and with the stage on the table to see how and when we can walk the path folded.
To close the conference, we presented the ‘Barcelona Plural Economy’ reportthe result of three years of research-action by the Coòpolis Observatory.
