An alternate model in growth
The cooperative housingespecially in the transfer of use, has experienced significant growth in Catalonia in recent years. According to data from the Long -Avinist Cooperative Housing Observatory, From 2021 a 140%increase has been recorded, From 500 to 1,200 flats throughout the territory. This trend consolidates this model as one of the more viable alternatives to combat real estate precariousness and speculationoffering a sustainable and collective solution to a fundamental right: access to decent housing. The model of use of use is based on the collective ownership of housing, managed through cooperatives. Members do not acquire ownership of the property, but also pay a stable and affordable fee for their long -term assignment, which avoids speculation and promoting community coexistence.
