Open call for participation in the first edition of the documentary portrait cycle “Emmirallats” which will be held on December 20 at the Sant Andreu Civic Centre. Emmirallats is a series of documentary portraits born with the desire to give voice to all those views, emerging or consolidated, that, through the documentary, portray our society, whether of today or of yesterday. We understand the portrait as a broad concept: a deep look that can focus on the human as much as on his condition or his environment. This non-profit cycle values networking and community over competition, reflection over rivalry. Next December 20, at the Civic Center of Sant Andreu, we will celebrate the first edition of Emmirallats, where selected documentaries will be shown, based on the power of the reflexes that humans create when they observe and articulate in the form of an image their exterior We believe in independent productions, in the power of transmission through a new form of image; it is in the intimate stories and in the gaze of the creator that we find the true value, in this mirror that returns to us the reflection of who we are or what we were. We accept productions from all countries, of the documentary genre, which can be related to the concept of “portrait” and which do not exceed 30 minutes.
