In charge of Carmen Mestresretired professor of Geography and History and graduate in Anthropology from the UB, she also has a master’s degree in Women’s Studies from DUODA
The role of women in the various revolts of the 18th century (French Revolution) will be discussed both in the intellectual sphere and in their role as street activists, as well as the repercussion that the so-called pro-feminists in the later feminist movement.
We will also see how the industrial revolution of the 19th century and the two world wars of the 20th century affected women. Finally, we will delve into the advances in rights that the 20th century has meant and the setbacks that the current moment can bring.
