Next Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., a classical guitar concert by Ayaka Mukaiyama will take place in the Sala de Llevant of the Library of Catalonia, as part of the Arts and Guitar Art Llobet 2025 Festival.
Winner of the recent fourth edition of the Emili Pujol International Guitar Competition 2025, Ayaka Mukaiyama grew up between Japan and Kazakhstan. His training began at the age of 15 and he decided to study at the Tchaikovsky School of Music in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He continued his training with Jorgos Panetsos and is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Nejc Kuhar.
The concert is part of the program of the Festival of Arts and Guitar Art Llobet 2025which takes place in Barcelona from October 18 to November 9. The Festival, which pays tribute to the Catalan guitarist Miquel Llobet, is in its 22nd edition this year. With the motto “Wars and Guitar”, it addresses the situation of the classical guitar during the Spanish Civil War and in the context of a turbulent Europe.
