Under the title The strength of the collectivethe fifteenth edition of the Pantalla circuit explores solidarity, social struggles, cultural diversity and collective creation at twenty-three facilities of the Barcelona Civic Center Network.
Social commitment paves the way with titles like Atlantic (Mati Diop, 2019), The 47 (Marcel Barrena, 2024), The sultana’s dream (Isabel Herguera, 2023) and the documentary They in the city (Reyes Gallegos, 2025), which show how the collective in social and political struggles becomes a force capable of challenging injustices.
There are also stories of mutual support in difficult times: Good teachers (Thomas Lilti, 2023), The kings of the world (Laura Mora, 2022) i The Old Oak (Ken Loach, 2023).
Artistic creation takes center stage with The blue star (Javier Macipe, 2023) and The girls are fine (Itsaso Arana, 2023), while hour (Mounia Meddour, 2023) reflects how diversity and collective support allow overcoming obstacles and building paths of equality.
