If you have a camera or any electronic device with camera and you want to send us your look at the neighborhood festival, participate in the photography contest that this year reaches the 4th edition!
And attention: This year we have added a special category for all those who want to participate through Instagram.

How do I participate?
Each author may submit up to a Maximum of 4 original photos (1 photo per category)indicating a title and the category for which it is presented (e.g. namedelafoto_categoria 1. JPG). Send them in an attached digital file (in .jpg or .tif format) or by Wetransfer to email photofestamajor@gmail.comindicating your name and surname, age, address and CP, phone and email

If you only participate in the category Selfie@instagramwill be accepted a Maximum of 2 photos by author. Photos presented in this category will have to bring a title and label #photofmca25in addition to quoting at the Civic Center with @conventagusti

When can I present them?
From June 18 to July 3, 2025

Considerations to be taken into account

• The photographs must be taken at any event of the Festa Major in the Old Town of 2025. Any photograph received from other parties or neighborhoods will be out of competition.
• The participants will be responsible for the authorship of the material presented, the rights to third parties, as well as any possible claim for image rights on the works presented to the competition.
• The images must be original works, which do not violate the rights of reproduction or any other right to third parties and that they have no obscene, sexually explicit, violent, offensive, incendiary or defamatory content. The organization may reject photographs and messages that violate these characteristics or that may be offensive against people, entities or institutions, and is exempt from any liability regarding possible breaches of contestants in the field of intellectual, industrial or image property rights.
• The pictures must have the authorization of the people who may appear there. In the case of images where minors appear, the contestant must have the consent of the legal guardians to publish them. In no case will the organization take this responsibility, nor the consequences that may arise from it.
• Each contestant will only be able to obtain a prize of among the 4 categories.
• The prizes will be presented on the day of the opening of the exhibition and will have to collect the winners of each category or to the person assigned. Otherwise, the prize for the finalist photography that has obtained the highest score will be awarded.
• The participants will transfer to the Convent Civic Center of Sant Agustí, to the coordinator of the Festa Major of the Old Town and the Barcelona City Council the rights of reproduction and public communication of their works in order to disseminate the festival of the old town, which will indicate the authorship of reproduced photography.
• The Civic Center undertakes to process the personal data of the contestants only for the communication of the competition itself. After two months, all personal data will be deleted.
• Participation in this contest implies acceptance of its bases.

When will I know the results?
On Tuesday, July 8, the Civic Center will contact the winners. The prizes will be equipped with vouchers of the cultural facilities and collaborating shops, which make up the jury.

And then?
The winning photographs and finalists will be exhibited at the Civic Center Convent de Sant Agustí and will be published on the Instagram of the Old Town Festival @FM_Cascantic and the Civic Center.
Her Opening of the exhibition and awards ceremony will be Thursday, July 10 at 6.30 pm In the hall of the 2nd floor of the building of the pl. Academy. We wait for you!
