If you close your eyes and imagine the universe — the universe around you, but also your inner universe — what do you see?
Galactic Christmas is an immersive and interactive installation that collects the individual and collective creations made by the children of Kindergarten from the Convent of Sant Agustí (between 4 and 12 years old) and the artist Mila Ercolias part of the “Galactic Christmas, construction of light mobiles” workshop.
With reflective, translucent and shiny materials, these young creators shaped stars, constellations, meteorites and planets. Each piece is a fragment of the universe that inhabited his mind; a spark of imagination turned into matter.
When the visitor enters the installation, and explores this space with the light of their own mobile phone, it activates a landscape of shadows and reflections that move, vibrate… creating an ephemeral cosmos that takes shape in front of them.
Galactic Christmas it is, in essence, a shared journey, into and out of oneself: a galaxy woven by small hands, and by the illusion and magic that emerges when we allow our imagination to transform into light.
