
Catalan musical theater joins Gaza
In the face of the humanitarian emergency situation in the Palestinian people, about forty professionals in the musical theater and the hybrid scene have joined to raise their voices through what they know best: art. On Saturday, October 25, the Condal Theater will host From stage to Gazaa solidarity concert promoted by the Catalan artists collective to raise funds for the project From Gaza to the Worldwhich gives direct support to surviving families of the Strip.
Participants include prominent names in the stage scenic Elena Gadel, Daniel English, Víctor Arbelo, Kathy Sey, Yolanda Sey, Clara Peya and Andreu Gallénas well as the groups Mürfila and Svetlana. The dancers will also take part Aleix Colomer, Aran Vázquez, William Ripoll, Helena Gispert, Júlia Sanz Fernández, Marc Soler and Pol Roussillonwho will interpret a choreography created by Ariadna Peyaand the contemporary dance company Miquel Barcelonawith Helena Gispert, Martí Güell, Isa Dubroca, Raül lorenzo and the same Miquel Barcelona.

The show will have a choir of actors and actresses of musical theater who will perform original arrangements and pieces of different styles linked to the cause. The proposal arises from the concern of a group of music theater professionals and the hybrid scene who have felt the need to contribute their little bit of sand in front of the genocide and the horror that is lived in Gaza. The proposal has been promoted from the commitment and willingness to mobilize in the face of the passivity of international governments and bodies. Faced with the need to do something, they will offer what they best know how to do: music and scene.
