The social and solidarity economy not only proposes to do business in a different way. It proposes to relate to another way: more just, more conscious, more based on people and the support of life. This vision permeates all the services we offer from the Ateneu Cooperativa del Baix Llobregat, and especially the accompaniments. That is why we say that accompanying is also taking care of.

One of the lines that define us as a team is the feminist and community look, present in a transversal way in our processes. For us, putting care at the center is not an aesthetic option or a discursive fashion: it is a practical and political need if we want projects that are sustainable, viable and transformers.

What does it mean in practice with a feminist look?

It means recognizing that cooperative projects have not only economic or legal challenges, but also internal dynamics, emotions, inequalities and tensions that are often invisible.

It means observing how the tasks are distributed, what roles each person assumes, if there are spaces for collective care, if decisions are made horizontally or if they repeat patterns of hierarchy that can be rethink. It also means adapting the rhythms and processes to the realities of the groups: conciliation, exhaustion, availability and communication are part of the project.

That is why our techniques pay special attention to:
– Visibility the invisible tasks (organization, emotional support, logistics care)
– Ask questions that open reflection on governance, leadership, roles and well -being
– Give tools to review how power is organized and decision -making
– Adapt the way to accompany the vital rhythms and moments of the collective

Care to transform

We believe that projects that take care of their people are more likely to grow, root and have real impact. Accompanying with gender and care looks to see the project as a living ecosystem, and not only as a legal structure.

This approach not only enriches the project, but also protects it from the internal wear, promotes the bond between people and helps to support the meaning of why they have decided to collectively undertake.
