Arts, language and education. The Baldiri Awards are back!

We have already opened the call for the 2025-26 Baldiri Awardsthe awards that recognize and promote schools with educational projects that use art and culture to face the current challenges of society. The call will remain open until January 26, 2026.

With Els Baldiri, the Carulla Foundation reaffirms one of its fundamental pillars: that education is a key space for the promotion of the language and for the construction of a critical citizenship, cohesive and culturally active. As he explains Marta Estevethe director of the Foundation: “The data tells us that the social use of Catalan is in clear decline, also in schools. That’s why the Baldiri Awards are committed to encouraging educational projects that encourage its use through artistic expressions such as theatre, opera, poetry… so that children can play, imagine and create in our language and connect with it from a much more intimate, emotional, powerful and transformative place.”

And you, are you a Baldiri school?

The Carulla Foundation will allocate a total of €44,000 to artistic projects and creative and innovative classroom experiences distributed in three categories:

  • Baldiri Arts and Language – 8 prizes of €3,500: to educational projects that promote the social use of the Catalan language from artistic languages. The award also includes support sessions to implement the proposals.
  • Baldiri Experiences – 20 prizes of €600 in school supplies (Abacus): to innovative learning experiences through creativity and the arts.
  • Baldiri Transforming School – 1 prize of €4,500: to centers committed to culture, language and the arts as engines of educational transformation. It will be selected from among the schools in the other categories. In addition to the financial endowment, the winning proposal will form part of the jury for the 2026-2027 Baldiri Awards.
