The past October 2, 2025, The rachola scclArchitecture Cooperative of the Baix Llobregat, organized an inspirational session to deepen the roots of the eco -social crisis and to explore transformative alternatives from decrease and ecofeminism.
With the title “Degrowth and eco -feminist look”the day featured two reference presentations:
Antonio Aretxabalageologist and researcher, opened the session with “What if we can no longer grow? Degrowth or impoverishment. You choose ». A forceful reflection on the limits of growth and the urgent need to rethink society-native relationship from a model of cooperation and sustainability. As stated: “The interactive society-childhood interactive model can no longer be based on the fact that one ends with the other or that they both end up destroy each other.”
Then Yayo Herreroanthropologist and eco -feminist activist, offered the presentation “Eco -feminist gaze as a solution to the eco -social crisis”where he exposed how patriarchy, capitalism and colonialism are structures that threaten life on the planet. Emphasized that “The value in times of crisis of civilization must see to look at reality face to face and strive for others to look at it.”
The session was welcomed by Jorge Romero, architect and partner of Rachola, who contextualized the initiative within the cooperative’s commitment to climate justice, collective sovereignty and the need to generate critical debate in the world of cooperative architecture and urbanism.
