Why are we talking about palliative care?
Palliative care is a medical discipline, but also a way of understanding life and end. It is not just about controlling physical symptoms, but also of accompanying the person and his environment from a comprehensive look, which includes the emotional, social and spiritual dimension.
Talking about care is to talk about rights, autonomy, quality of life until the last moment. And it is also talking about how the community can play an active role in this process.

A network that accompanies, inspires and acts
From Paliakius and the Ateneu Cooperativa del Baix Llobregat we want to build a society that takes care of until the end. These days are another step to make visible, strengthen and share initiatives that believe in the right to die with dignity and accompaniment.
We believe that silence must be broken, spaces for debate and recognize the work of so many people and entities who, from discretion, support life and death processes with respect, care and commitment.
