Guided visits to Aurelia Muñoz. Beings | Activity

Every Sunday, from November 15, enjoy our guided visits to Aurelia Muñoz. Beings.

As part of the Aurelia Muñoz YearMACBA presents a major retrospective dedicated to an artist who expanded the possibilities of textiles as a contemporary language. Covering more than fifty years of her artistic production, Aurelia Muñoz. Beings showcases a practice that, drawing on textile knowledge, transcends the limits of fabric and craftsmanship, combining ancestral techniques with contemporary resources to reflect on the relationship between living beings and the world we inhabit. Here flexible, foldable and suspended sculptures transform the exhibition space, proposing new relationships between artworks, bodies and the environment.

Artists and researchers Albert Girones, Ana Gnagui and Eva Paia will guide visitors through the exhibition in a tour that invites participants to build a collective narrativecreating a dialogue between everyone’s unique knowledge and perspectives. Throughout the visit, they will share reflections designed to resonate beyond the Museum, so that each participant leaves with a lasting echo of a body of work that continues to question how we think about textiles and the ways we inhabit the world.
