Gallery Trail: Emerging Art with New Art | Activity

We invite you to discover two proposals within the program of Art Nou, the festival of emerging art in Barcelona and L’Hospitalet, on a walking route around two galleries located near the museum.

Art New is a festival devoted to emerging art, giving visibility to young local and international artists and fostering their links with galleries, independent venues and institutions in the sector. Thus, the route allows us to discover two exhibitions taking part in this year’s festival, and discover projects that open up new kinds of relationship between artists, exhibition venues and audiences.

The route begins at Chiquita Roomwhere we’ll be visiting Celestino Boutiquea project by Hernán Aguirre that starts out from the artist’s personal archive and rolls out a universe in which objects, paintings and invented elements construct a narrative of their own between memory, fiction and imagination.

The tour then takes us to Angels Barcelona to discover Salva & Helena’san exhibition by Salva G. Ojeda and Helena Laguna Bastante that explores gesture, the body, the voice and relationships with our environment using the idea of ​​bending.
