Exhibition “All this was countryside”
The exhibition is the result of the research carried out by the 3rd year ESO students of the INS Barres i Ones (Llefià, Badalona), the result of the collaboration of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya through professors Adolf Sotoca and Marta Serra. The inauguration included the theatrical performance “Ana and Serafín, inquilinos de la peripheria”, performed by Rafa Sánchez and directed by David Martínez.
The exhibition project has been developed from three aspects of research in which the students have participated: firstly, the recognition of the geographical space to be studiedbased on cartographic research of the neighborhoods and the surroundings of the center (in this case, the INS Barres i Ones in the neighborhood of Llefià, Badalona); on the other hand, oral and domestic memory research, through interviews with family members, neighbors and neighbors, with archival support and local documentation; and finally, artistic creationresulting in a collage designed and museographically assembled by the students themselves, inspired by the graphic work of the artist Alexander Rodchenko.
