We publish the guide “Time for treatments”


The publication “Time for care: rights, uses and time management in cooperatives” powered by The Invisible Citywhich is part of the Circle of Feminist Economies of Coòpolisit is already a reality. This guide is born with the will of equip organizations of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS) – and especially work cooperatives – of concrete tools to move towards a more sustainable, feminist and care-centered time organization.

The project has had the active collaboration of Coòpolis, which has participated in the dissemination of the previous survey to cooperatives and ESS entities. Thanks to this task, a significant sample of 47 people belonging to 31 organizationswhich has allowed identify both the strengths and the main shortcomings in terms of time management, conciliation and occupational well-being.

In addition, several expert entities linked to the Cercle d’Economies Feministes de Coòpolis have been part of the technical contrast group that has accompanied the preparation of the guide. Contents and objectives of the guide
The guide proposes six areas of intervention, each with good practices and real examples taken from the Catalan and Basque cooperative fabric:
1. Culture of the right to time and internal organization.
2. Conciliation, co-responsibility and care policies.
3. Occupational health, stress and well-being.
4. Tools, training and care infrastructures.
5. Right to rest and digital disconnection.
6. Imaginations of a desirable time organization.

One of the central elements of the publication is the Internal Regime Regulation (RRI) as a instrument to institutionalize time and care policiesovercoming informality and individual goodwill.

“We need to stop putting all the analysis on the labor market and assume social responsibility towards care as a society. Cooperativism is a laboratory for collectively managing care and co-responsibility“, say the authors.
