World Book | Gencat Cultural Agenda

The literary festival World Book will celebrate the 2026 edition from May 29 to 31, with a proposal that will place the book as a physical space of fiction and imagination. The program of the event is aimed at children, families and professionals, with the aim of vindicating children’s culture within the spaces of contemporary culture.

The center of the festival will be an immersive exhibition that will propose a tour through six passable spaces inspired by classic children’s literature. The installation will invite the public to interact with materials, symbolic objects and chromatic universes that will evoke literary imaginaries of the last century.

The program will include workshops and participatory activities, with the presence of creators such as Pere Ginard, Joan Negrescolor, Marina Sáez, Olivier Douzou, Nina Izycka and Anna Font. The proposals will embrace different disciplines: illustration, collage, reading aloud or character creation will be some of them.
