Verdaguer Festival | Gencat Cultural Agenda

The Verdaguer Festival 2026, the literary festival with traditional roots, invites us to enjoy art and creation from Verdaguer and the Verdaguerian places. The festival will take place in various settings in Folgueroles and Barcelona, ​​the places of birth and death of the poet. From the homeland to the county town, passing this year through Northern Catalonia on the occasion of the 140 years of Canigo.

This year’s Festa Verdaguer unfolds an intense program that combines poetry, music, tradition and tributes to the poet. The opening is the recital-concert In the light of truthwith texts by Corpinyat Poesia and electronic music by La Mousse. The next day, the conference Verdaguer – Palace by Anna Maluquer gives way to the Cor d’Homes concert, followed by the May Tree Festival and of the 6th edition ofString climbers. On Sunday, Plaça Verdaguer hosts the Floral tapestry and the Old poetry book markettogether with the traditional ones ballets and dances and the institutional tribute parliament. The closing comes with Joy: a song in the rain and in the rural worlda concert that recovers and recreates melodies linked to the Verdaguerian universe.
