TNC Introduction Message:

mission: The TNC is a cultural institution created to contribute to the cultural growth of the country through the performing arts.

vision: The TNC, as a public cultural facility, wants to contribute to the positioning of the performing arts as a tool for the improvement of a society in constant evolution, through the excellence of artistic and pedagogical proposals open to everyone.

Strategic objectives of the National Theater of Catalonia: The whole of the programming and all the activities of the TNC must guarantee the following public service obligations, which are considered its strategic objectives:

• Elaborate the programming of the artistic season guaranteeing as axes Catalan and universal heritage, innovation and new Catalan authorship, contemporary theatre, family theatre, dance and major international productions.
  
• Promote and project the Catalan language through the performing arts.
  
• Develop and implement a pedagogical and social program around theater and the performing arts.
  
• Include the gender perspective in the theatre’s programming, in its public projection and in its internal functioning.
  
• Establish strategies for the creation and loyalty of audiences to bring the performing arts closer to all citizens.
  
• Contribute to the growth/strengthening of companies and performing arts professionals in the country.
  
• Act as the head of the system of public facilities and promote the spread of the performing arts in the Catalan-speaking territories.
  
• Project the activity of the TNC abroad, contributing to the internationalization of Catalan culture.
  
• Guarantee sustainability, transparency, efficiency and management quality.
