Let’s visit the exhibition Circles at the Fundació Joan Miró | Activity
The Miró Foundation invites us, through Teresa Montaner, to explore the new presentation of its collection.
Curated by Teresa Montaner and Marta Ricart, this new presentation, which brings together over a hundred pieces, spotlights the relationship between artwork and place, a fundamental principle in the universe of Joan Miró.
The proposal sets out from a portfolio created by the artist between the second half of the fifties and the beginning of the sixties–conserved in the archive of drawings that Miró donated to the foundation, centering on space and time as key factors in his work– setting out to encourage new relationships between the artworks, the architecture and visitors.
In this redesigned journey, Josep Lluís Sert’s building takes on a key roledetermining rhythms, perspectives and ways of seeing. The presentation also reinforces the dialogue between inside and outside by opening the Cypress Garden up to the public, and offering a new way to experience the collection through the place, the light and the setting.

MACBA Thirty
We celebrate Year Thirty of an infinite MACBA that projects the future as a space for review and possibility: of taking up what was left unfinished, updating what needs it and projecting anew everything that can still be transformed.
