07/02 – 7 p.m. Opening: STORIES THAT DANCE. A photographic journey through the history of Esbart and its shared life with the neighbourhood.

In charge of theEsbart Catalan de Dansaires

From 2 to 25 July 2026.

This photographic exhibition invites you to discover the history of Esbart Català de Dansaires and its close connection with the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. Through this visual tour, you will discover not only the history of the entity, but also the living link with the neighborhood that is part of it and has made it grow over the years.

Founded more than a century ago, esbart has been a key player in the recovery, transmission and dissemination of the country’s dances, keeping alive a heritage that forms part of our collective identity. His roots in Ciutat Vella are evident in every photograph, witness to rehearsals, performances and moments shared with the neighborhood.

We encourage you to go through this exhibition with a curious eye and to feel the pulse of a tradition that is still alive, in constant evolution, thanks to the people who make it possible.
