The history of Egypt is divided into periods of splendor, in which the pharaoh had almost absolute power and the state was centralized. Between these times or empires us we find moments of political uncertainty. After the Ancient Empire we find one of these periods: the First Intermediate Period, a moment of crisis reflected in the literature of the time.
