Exhibition “Avinguda Gaudí, a living memory between the Sagrada Família and the Hospital de Sant Pau”


An exhibition that highlights the Sagrada Família and the Sant Pau Modernist Precinct. The axis forms with theGaudí avenue it is much more than an urban connection between two masterpieces of modernism.

At the southern end, the Holy Familythe work of Antoni Gaudí, stands as a universal spiritual and creative symbol. Gaudí made the neighborhood part of his work: he used neighbors as models for the sculptures on the Nativity facade and built schools for the children of the workers and the neighborhood, showing a deep connection with the community.

At the northern end, theSaint Pau Hospitaldesigned by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, represents the ultimate expression of modernism applied to public health. A hospital-garden complex where light, color and architectural beauty are part of the healing process. A living heritage, which has been the scene of life, death and hope for generations of Barcelona residents.
