Architectural dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity in the Sagrada Família

On the occasion of the designation of Barcelona as World Capital of Architecture, the Sagrada Família will be the setting for a conference that will bring together four figures of international reference in the world of architecture awarded with this award: the Pritzker Prize.

  • Ramon Vilanova, RCR founder
  • Carmen Pigem and Barceló, RCR founder
  • Rafael Aranda and Quiles, RCR founder
  • Kazuyo Sejima, Japanese architect distinguished with the Pritzker Prize

The event will open with an introduction by Dr. Jordi Faulí, architect director of the Basilica, and wants to become a space for reflection on the dialogue between heritage and contemporary architecture. The presence of renowned architects in a building as emblematic as the Sagrada Família emphasizes architecture as a cultural expression and as a tool for social transformation.
