exhibition "The cradle of modern architecture in Catalonia (1872-1962)"

The exhibition and its related activities (guided tours and conferences) aim to rediscover a fundamental academic space for the history of Catalan and universal architecture; a setting where Antoni Gaudí and many other prominent contemporary architects of the country trained professionally. All of this is part of the celebration of the 575th anniversary of the University of Barcelona, the ephemeris of Gaudí Year 2026 and the designation of Barcelona as World Capital of Architecture by UNESCO, and is planned with the UB’s desire to recover the memory of the past, work on the present and forge future challenges. This activity is part of the Gaudí Year commemoration. Last update: 10/24/2025
