“Al Poblenou we make performances”, new grant to support creation

The Carulla Foundation co-organizes the new grant to support the artistic creation of the Poblenou Stage Festival. We do performances in Poblenou seeks to promote collaborative artistic practices and generate processes that bring contemporary arts closer to the residents of Poblenou. The call will be open until April 6.

The scholarship is aimed at artists or professional collectives of visual arts, performing arts or multidisciplinary practices who want to develop a project of co-creation with the neighbors of Poblenou. The proposals must propose an artistic process in dialogue with the territory and with the will to involve communities, social or cultural entities in the neighborhood. The aim, then, is not only to push the creation of an individual work, but also to generate sustained community processes in the territory that generate new links between its inhabitants.

The selected project will receive a financial endowment of €6,000, as well as creation and rehearsal spaces at the Can Felipa Civic Center and the Carulla Foundation. In addition, it will have professional support of the organizing entities during the different phases of the process. The chosen proposal will be displayed within the 25th Poblenou Stage Festivalwhich will take place on 22 to 25 October 2026. Subsequently, it will be part of the programming ofLight scenarios of the Carulla Foundation, planned for a in April 2027.

Since it was installed in Poblenou, one of the main objectives of the Carulla Foundation has been to become an active part in the community life of the neighborhood. This is the motivation behind initiatives like the Neighborhood People Program or the cycle Light scenarios. By participating in this new call, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to transformative culture and to thepromotion of the cultural rights of citizens.
