with Intangiblewe seek to question the classic ownership of art, which allows only a few people to own a select number of works. No one person is the absolute owner of a digital canvas. Instead, it can be *co-owned by users who purchase pieces of it on a *NFT market (*Non-Fungible Tokens). We believe that *co-ownership of art would allow a more diverse group to own and collect art, which in turn would change the dynamics of both art making and art interaction.
Intangible is a mixed media artwork: a connected object that captures images of a handmade fabric and sends them over the web. Mounted on an old recycled 3D printer, a digital camera with integrated RGB LEDs slides over the frame and allows remote users to enjoy a new, intimate and dreamlike visual dimension. The previously static and monochromatic texture is transformed into colorful and abstract digital landscapes, while also becoming a material object designed to be exhibited in a physical space.
