CONFLUENCES is a space for free drawing, and that in the Improvisation Cycle where the body, visual language and sound meet, and that in each edition has the musical accompaniment of a different artist.
During the session, we will explore the stroke from a somatic perspective, and open paths and multidisciplinary dialogues; on this occasion, we will have mirrors as living matter for the drawing.
Facilitated by Valentina Gaia Lops, CONFLUÈNCIES is an intergenerational and sensitive space, open to everyone.

Confluences #5 – with Edvina Fahlqvist

Edvina Fahlqvist is a Swedish electronic and experimental music producer, vocalist and sound designer based in Barcelona and Berlin.

His work consists of soundscapes and ambient and noise compositions, often formed from hyper-processed organic found sounds and field recordings; in his live performances he combines ambient textures, granular effects, analog synthesizers and voice.

For his performance at the Agustí Convent he will perform a completely improvised set with electronics.

Valentina Gaia Lops

Valentina is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher and mediator. His practice encompasses performance, visual and plastic arts, investigating the relational dimension of the body from a queer, intersectional and situated perspective. Founder of the artistic research group LiberArte and the laboratory From the image to the bodydevelops participative and experiential projects that expand beyond artistic production to become emotional spaces for encounter, care and co-creation. In this way, Valentina moves between artistic, somatic and pedagogical frameworks, seeking to disorient hegemonic models of representation and pave the way for new possible narratives.

Amidea Clotet (Málaga, 1997) is one of the emerging figures of the generative improvisation scene in Barcelona. He studied electric guitar at the Liceu conservatory, as well as a year of contemporary composition in Denmark. He creates spontaneous soundscapes using extended techniques and objects, raw music that emerges as a response to the times we live in; a dual game between a risky sound experimentation opposed to the beauty of the subtle.

Confluences #2 – with Sonia Sanchez
Saturday, October 25, at 5 p.m

Dancer from flamenco, free improvisation and Japanese dance body weather. He leans through the labs of improvised sound through the body. The foundations of his works are found in the flamenco roots of sound in space, the sounding body in motion and danced space.

Confluences #3 – with Anna Subirana
Saturday 29 November, at 5pm

Curiosity, research with music, voice and new languages ​​leads her to share creations with singers (Stupendams), musicians (Joan Saura), poets (Mari Chordà, Muntsa Castellà), theatre, dancers, shadow artists, plastic artists, cinema and
audio-visuals (Aurora Gasull), creating multidisciplinary and eclectic shows.

Currently, his work focuses on free improvisation. She is part of the Veus Lliures collective, a choir of female improvising singers. He works with electronics with Elmer, Jose Manuel Berenguer. They form a duo with Agnès Balfegó, dance and voice. And he works with words and free improvisation with the musicians: Eduard Altaba, Ramon Solé and Rafa Zaragoza.

Confluences #4 – with Pers0f
Saturday, January 31, at 5 p.m

Pers0f explores improvisation through slow rhythms, atmospheric pads and heavily processed loops. The sound is marked by a subtle and enveloping melancholy, which unfolds forming a soundscape in constant transformation where emotion and experimentation coexist.
