Institut Ramon Llull assumes vice-presidency of the European network ENLIT – News


Julià Florit, a literary specialist at the Institut Ramon Llull (the Catalan cultural diplomacy body), has been appointed Vice-President of the European Network for Literary Translation (ENLIT) The institute is a founding member of this network, which was created in 2016 at the Frankfurt Book Fair and is dedicated to promoting literary translation and raising the visibility of European literature, both globally and within its member territories.

The network currently comprises 30 European organizations and has held its most recent meetings in Barcelona, ​​Vilnius, Thessaloniki and Prague. Julià Florit has been a member of its board since 2023.

Through grant programs, cooperation between members, and the development of joint projects, ENLIT works towards a dynamic, diverse and accessible literary ecosystem, covering the entire book value chain and promoting dialogue at international fairs and professional forums.

ENLIT is governed by a board elected by the network’s members, currently comprising Martin Krafl (Czech Literary Centre), who serves as President, Julian Florit (Institute Ramon Llull), Vice-President, Alexandra Büchler (Literature Across Frontiers), Ilvi Liive-Roosipuu (Estonian Literature Centre) and Aunt Strandén (FILI Finnish Literature Exchange).
