Manresa hosts the first XAC Winter School

Manresa has hosted the first Winter School of the Network of Cooperative Universities of Catalonia (XAC)with the participation of more than a hundred people from the country’s 14 universities.

This meeting, held at University of Manresahas served for strengthen the technical specialization of the teams, improve coordination and encourage networking. In addition, there has been a return from the inter-cooperation visit to the Basque cooperative movement made in March in Lizarra, with the participation of Euskal Herria cooperatives linked to the Olatukoop network.

The XAC Winter School becomes one training space organized from the same network to improve the quality of the service which responds to the specialized training needs expressed by the same teams with the diversity of the different territories.

Some of the most prominent formations have revolved around the application of the intersectional look in a transversal way to the cooperative universities, the leadership and team management, strategies for cooperative support or transformative communicationthe new cooperative laws and of the social economy or the methods of dynamism or promotion of inter-cooperation.

In addition, the meeting has become a meeting space and mutual supportdeepening the inter-cooperation relationships that already exist. We were also able to share and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the XAC, the network that brings together the cooperative universities of the entire Catalan territory. The cooperative universities, which this year celebrate their tenth anniversary, are reference spaces for promoting the Social and Solidarity Economy throughout the territory.
